[DeTomaso] Well, new problem, cant get it into gear, clutch problem.

Sorry, should have read it closer.  If the car is just creeping forward 
then you are getting some disengagement of the clutch, just not enough. 
  If the lurched forward on the starter then it would be a bigger problem.

Follow Mike's advice for checking/setting the clutch clearance.
