No silicon in this system.  I am not certain that would matter though.  There is a rubber insulating bulb that protects the contact points.  I could only see silicon affecting the switch if it were to dissolve the rubber insulator.  I doubt that would happen.

I am leaving for the airport to pick up my brother and then we are off on our first leg to BBORR.  I am looking forward to the party at Fiesta Texas in San Antonio on the Riverwalk tonight.  I'll give you a call after we roll into town.

  I just read in a tech article that the switches are reliable "but don't last very long in an application using silicon brake fluid".
