[DeTomaso] Vacuum Leak

Connect the hose to the carb again and disconnect it at the brake 
booster and cover that up. If the idle is still fine, then your line is 
good and your booster is broken (my guess). If the idle is high, then 
you have a leak somewhere between the carb and the booster.
