My view is a little different:

salvage items may include: glass, zf, block?, interior (I'd LOVE to  
have a car without speaker cutout!!!!!!!!!!!)

After the parts are salvage, they may or MAY NOT be usable AFTER some  
refurb.  Wonder how the ZF would work w/ bearings 1/2 rusted?????

Guess I'm tooo fat and happy to mess with such a mess?  Yep.
