[DeTomaso] engine question

They are ceramic coated. The tips are a bit disappointing though; they seem to point down a bit, instead of upward as did the stock ones. Plus they aren't chrome! I think I'll get some upswept chrome tips for them pretty soon. Hey, I don't have those chrome pipes on the engine cover anymore--I've got to get my shine fix somewhere!
I think you mean Larry Rebsamen--the frame guy. It looks like after repairing all the rotted frame pieces in the back, including the shock towers, the lower back brace, upper pieces and the front beam, and after he enlarges the fuel line, the bill will be about $4000. That doesn't include the $550 I paid Pantera Performance for the two replacement panel pieces I had to get.
Nothing like increasing my "new engine project" price by 50%!
Sincerely,
Chris

A good idea, as anyone who buys it would pull it apart anyway, and
you can describe what you are selling better.
The flanges need to be loose so they can be adjusted to meet the
exhaust pipes. Have they been ceramic coated? If not, seriously
consider it.
Lyell is an interesting character. Any idea what your final
bill is going to be?

[DeTomaso] engine question
If this pending sale falls through, the next thing I'm going to do is
begin taking the whole thing apart. First, it will help me understand
motors better, and second, I'll bet I can sell the individual parts for more
than the whole thing all at once.
Thanks!
Chris
PS:
The mind train exhaust arrived in the mail today; they look good. The
flanges are loose, however. Is this the way they're supposed to be, or are
they supposed to be welded to the end of the pipes? It appears they were
used as is, so I guess with the right gaskets there must not be a need to have
the flanges welded.

Chris. The 4-bolt question refers to the number of bolts holding each
