Hugh, there are a few GT-40 owners that value the 'original look' more than 
power & money, so they go to the trouble of "drying up" a set of real Weber 
carbs. This is done by running fake AN fuel lines to the carb float bowls and 
removing the carb venturis, replacing them with smooth rings. This leaves the 
Webers to be used as 'throttle bodies'; a TPI i(throttle position indicator) is 
added somewhere in the linkage- not necessarily on the carbs. The intake 
manifold is rigged with EFI nozzles on the underside, sort of like a cheater nitrous 
system. Supposedly the system as described does work, but it seems like lots 
of trouble, much extra work & expense and I dunno if any of these cars 
actually make much power. Maybe that's no longer the point for these old 
warriors..... Check on the GT-40 sites for 'drying up Webers'. Good luck- J Deryke
