Jeff, I'm planning to buy a 2 post lift from American Equipment, but I want it to be narrower than normal so I can preserve the other half of my 2 car garage. They will build it to a custom width for about $400 more, and they currently have it on sale for $1295. That makes the custom one about $1700. You might consider the same approach to fit a lift into your single car garage. Scott
