  I just donated a small GPS unit to Asa Jay for his support at Silver State las tweek.
   
  Since it sure as hell never helped me nail my time  it does do exactly what you are looking for...
  Current Speed, Average Speed, Miles and time. It is small enough to fit perfectly on a velcro'd pad between the Tach & Speedo....works great if you look at it. ;-]>
