GTS bars were the metric equivalent of 7/8" which aided handling. All U.S- 
made aftermarket bars are either painted or plated. In a POCA article last year, 
I mentioned that Hall's Sphere-ball outboard ends must fit the bar very 
tightly but still be free to slide back & forth, or you lose effectiveness in the 
system. I found if the bar in question is plated, the bushings will need 
reaming to the thickness at least of the plating. My black-painted OEM GTS bar slid 
right in with no reaming but the pretty plated   bar needed reaming.   FWIW- J
