Just got home from Viginia City
A long weekend but just beautiful country
and a great event

I had 7 Practice runs on Saturday
Fastest part was 117 according to the Gps
Timed runs were on Sunday... I think I had
5... the first was a bust as a tiger broke a ball joint
in front of me so I had to slow way down... the second
I missed second gear out of the hole with everyone watching
The rest were good runs but not sure of the times... they will
mail later this week

I did not win anything...and think I was running in brand X
Class with a 750 hp Lister, New Ford Gt- and Noble 400m
they were in the top 5 or 6 numbers as they only gave out winning times

Griggs racing won in a Late Model mustang and a Beefed up Viper
was 4 seconds slower... most people have run for 10 -20 years and
say it takes 4-5 years to really learn the 24 turn 5.2 mile event climbing
1200 feet from 5000 to 6200

Julian came by Saturday-- and Larry Stock both days... thanks for the support

The Pantera was well received and there a couple of locals
giving me the thumbs up in one of the fast straights

I did break a rear bracket again on the 180s, lost all the double
nutted bolts on one collector at the end..... and I think I lost the
water pump again on the very last run at the top of the hill as
it is doing the same thing as it did in Vegas last year

Other than that a great event all came home safe... One Zo6 did
crunch his front end and front fender and won the Big Wheels Trophy at the
Banquet

They want to see more Panteras but it does run the same time as Silver State

Bob Benson running #13 this weekend
