 Hate to sound pessimistic, but that story would seem to capture our times perfectly.? 
Ferrari owner with more money and bravado than knowledge, a society lacking any concept of personal responsibility. 
Soon if I get a speeding ticket I'll be able to sue the dealer who sold me the car because if he hadn't sold it to me I couldn't have gotten the ticket.

Rumor has it he sued the event for letting him run with those tires. They first 
said no, then he said he'd go slow, they said OK, he went fast, crashed and 
sued. Same guy?

NOt trying to pour salt on a wound, but that tire speed rating is a rather
well known requirement. I think it was the Dawg himself who explained why -
a few years ago someone in a Testa Rossa ran with tires suitable for his
Speed class, but below the capability of the car. He went out and exceded
his tech speed for an extended period and his tires gave out. They exploded,
he drove into the side of a mountain and killed his co-driver/wife, if I
remember correctly. 



Basically, they want? you protected. If you car can do 160, then your tires
need to be able to do 160 even if you SAY you won't drive that fast.
