     Anyone got pictures of the various retrofit kits?  Do any of them look 
like the factory version on the later cars?

The third A/C vent was retrofitted by Bill Stroppe as part of the rebuild
campaign for the early Panteras.   Those cars also got a pull-for-fresh-air 
knob,
which is not a De Tomaso part.   I don't know where it came from, but that
knob is probably a fresh-air knob from another Ford vehicle?

Because of this, there are no factory records (in the parts books etc.) 
which
show a VIN cutoff for this modification, I don't think?

The single-mount 'problem' isn't a problem, because there are several
retrofit kits available.
