If this engine is to be used in a Pantera, I'd first get the long tube from a
351W van as suggested in earlier posts, and carefully measure that before
drilling. Too big a hole will make a permanent mess that will be very hard to
correct since that dipstick hole is considerably closer to the oil level than in
a 351C. Note also the van tube and dipstick will need to be shortened to fit a
Pantera, and there are two different types of 351W front covers: one has
provisions for a mechanical fuel pump and one does not. Good luck- J Deryke
