[DeTomaso] NPC Re: Automatic transmission

As I see it, there are four possible causes, all of which require 
entering the transmission.

- The pump is no longer capable of providing the proper pressure (not 
likely since it still works good in lower gears)
- The torque converter is slipping (not likely either)
- The valve body now has a weak spring for the upper gears (probably 
not, but it has happened)
- The clutches in the higher gears are shot (which means total rebuild)

None of it sounds good.  You need to take it to a professional and have 
it looked at.
