Jack - The engine has a rev limiter set to 7200 RPM. It is part of the MSD Ignition box, a Digital 6-Plus. Both failures occured at about 2500-3000 rpm. No warining just all of sudden the engine did not want to run. So I have to lean towards bad geometry. which I will be able to report on once Jesel inspects the valve train.
