[DeTomaso] Aftermarket Master safety issue

Hi Pantera land,
I've found a problem with my brake booster, and I'm considering sending it
off to the guy at brakeboosters.com but I discovered an issue while I was
doing a diagnosis.
My brakes were staying on and the pedal remained depressed after I lifted my
foot from the pedal, and would eventually return to the normal position.
This caused the brakes to drag and heat up my rotors a little though it
would generally only hold for 7 or 8 seconds. I thought this could be
caused by the master or possibly a frozen caliper, but it could also be the
booster so I disconnected the vacuum source and took it for a test drive.
I have the aftermarket SVO Mustang aluminum master with the adapter on my
Pantera with the 1 1/8" bore and I could stop the car, but just barely
without the power assist. It stopped straight and didn't exhibit the
problems I was seeing with the booster, so a replacement is called for.
I can bench 400 lbs with my right foot and I can't lock the brakes up front
or rear above 10MPH!
Since stock bore is 7/8" is it safe to assume that running with no booster
makes the car unsafe if you are using a 1 1/8" bore master? Maybe it's
because my tires are too sticky or my new Porterfields aren't grippy, but
this would be very scarry at highway speeds.
