[DeTomaso] efi vs Weber respondents

I, too, would be interested in hearing Chuck's magic recipe because it
sounds like he's onto something!

My two cents is that my engine will happily rev to 6500 rpm when the
rev-limiter kicks in. It's a compltely different engine to any other I've
had (5 different Clevelands in two different Panteras). I followed Dan
Jones' recipe to the letter, and am unsure whether it is the intake (Weiand
Xcelerator), the cam with its solid lifters (Compcams 282S) or what.

Very nice Chuck.
What mods allow the 6500 rpm?

look great. Carters look great. The Holley TBI doesn't look bad, but it
isn't a carburetor, and it isn't an elegant looking EFI. It just looks like
a wad of crap. It may run great, though. '

EFI and Clevelands. I will equal thought to a functional and stylish air
filter to cover it up should I ever take the plunge.

tweaked by Chuck Nuytten Carbs in Texas with iron heads, hydraulic cam and
pump gas 483 HP at 6500 rpm and 436 ft-lbs of torque at 5800 rpm with a nice
torque curve. I am thrilled. Do I really need EFI? I am not sure.........
