[DeTomaso] GR4 Front Tires

Stock front tire on the GT5 and GT5-S was 285.

285/40/15 on 10" rims. 

Try it before spending the money. A wide body car handles a lot differently
than a narrow body and you may not like it.

I'm converting my car to GR4. My front rims are 10" and Larry Stock is
recommending 285/35/18's for the tire size. Seams rather fat. 
What size are other GR4 owners using?
Will a wider tire cause "tracking" problems?
