[Larry - Ohio Time Corp]

This past weekend a good friend and I had a discussion across a pond we were
sitting at. The question came up how long would a car run without ANY
charging going to the battery?

 

I had to re-qualify the question a bit.

 

Car one is a 66 Mustang small block all stock.

 

Car two is a 70 Mustang small block with MSD ignition.

 

Car three is a 90 Taurus V6 stock.

 

 

Info for the engineering people:

Fully charged new 500 amp battery

75 F. out side with 50% humid

No wind

1,000 elevation

35 PSI in tires

car is started 4 time in a day

all car are painted white

all radios are off but set to CKLW- AM

everything else is turned off that uses power

driven 35 MPH on two lane road 50%

driven 55 MPH on freeway 50%
