[DeTomaso] NPC: The Mach 1 Project begins

I think the shop owner said $170K, but he didn't say much about the condition.  I think he said the previous sale for $270K?  not $500K  ???  Collector value is really fickled, which is one thing I like about Panteras,  The price reflects todays value for the hardware you're buying, not for matching serial numbers.

I took a look at a BOSS 429 Mustang last night, they really shoehorned the engine in.  The guy how owns the shop said Ford had to modify the shock towers to make the motor fit.  They were going to start restoration, but said the prices dropped $100K at the auction last weekend, so the owner is waiting.

Thanks, I intend to keep the color, my friend who researches such things
told me that it is 1 of 297 Mach 1's made in that color with an Ivy int. I
will eventually get a Martini report and get the real scoop, but fun to know
if true.
