Hi Dick,

 

I am sure our pope will disagree, but this is how it is in "Larry Land". All
living things have a soul and then some not so living things do to, as in a
car. To truly live you need to have character (boy do I live). I know you
have seen a great design take on a life of its own, then to have it snatched
away buy a design change. 

 

The best thing to ever happen to a motor is electronic fuel injection. But
it also snatched away the life of the motor too. When you tromp on a
carbureted motor and get a slight bog as the accelerator pump squirts in
fuel, the secondary open up wide, the motor jumps to life as it tries to rip
itself from the engine bay, man that LIVIN! The sound, the smell, the feel,
the imperfections of life are all lost with electronic fuel injection, as it
is just to good.

It would be nice if someone would tell me how to identify "soul" in an
object.

What qualities are present in something that has  "soul"?
