[DeTomaso] Advice from the Ironbutts

Are you suggesting that I’m a ‘fat man’? I may be carrying a little more
weight around than I used to, but I’m pretty sure it’s not in my butt.

And as a counter point, I’ve run with these seats extensively at the track
using both the factory 3-point seat belts and later with a 5-point harness.
I don’t slide around in them at all. The car may be doing some serious
sliding but my butt stays planted.

The C-4 seats are really comfortable for longish drives and also fairly
supportive at the track.

And Dave has the later C-4 (fat man) seats. I slide around a fair bit in
his car. The early C-4 seats were narrower and much more supportive.
Unfortunately they failed to take into account the typical Corvette
demographic, which is why GM changed them.

Gary principally sells the early (and in my view, better) seats.
