[DeTomaso] Tonight's debate: Vette vs. Pantera..

All cars lost there "souls" when they put computers in them (can you say
satin?). They all act like Hondas. Some more power, some less power.
I have owned 7 or so Corvettes over the years. I did not enjoy all the
matching number stuff about them. I have never liked any of the new models
when they first come out. It takes me a year or so to love them....but I do.
On the way to the office most days I pass (going the other direction) a new
Porsche GT2. I would bet 10% of the people that see it know it is a Porsche
and 1% knows it is a GT2. It all depends on who you want to please.

Yep, the chebbies are the numbers champs. hard to beat at twice the $.
Soul? None, nadda zip.
If you want something soul-less, why not that Honda/Acura mid-engine thingy?
At least it "looks" like a performance car. At a distance,I can't
distuinguish a C-6 from the latest Miata. Its true, throw gas on me
and light the fuse.
Admittedly, the "soul" can become tiresome (the new truck motor is
sure a beast for the street) but when you give it the foot feed it IS
sweet.
