[DeTomaso] New Wheel Shopping

I agree with Jack. I had the fractures and a right rear wheel separation.
Luckily I was only going about 30 mph. No body or tire damage. 3 minutes
earlier I was on the interstate traveling about 70mph. I now have one piece
10-spokes from PI Motorsports. I'm very happy with them.

Sure is. Those fracture-prone Hall Ultra rears weighed only 26 lbs WITH a
335-35x 17" tire mounted! First time I pulled one off a rear axle, I nearly
threw
it over my shoulder- was expecting about twice the weight. But I'm not up
for
the weekly visual inspections with bolt-torque checks, yearly tear-downs &
Zyglow or X-ray analysis it would take for me to be comfortable with them.
Sure, I heal up pretty fast, but Judy drives our car 50% of the time! FWIW-
