[DeTomaso] New Wheel Shopping

Hey!! I resemble that remark!

I took a little agricultural tour in a rental Fiesta while we were in
Norway. I bent two of the one piece OEM alloy wheels - one of them bad
enough that it was cracked. Fortunately they held air and we were able to
drive a couple of hundred miles to a Ford dealer and get them replaced.

If you dig into the dirt deep enough, you can bend anything.

What do you plan to do, go 4-wheeling?

Thanks John,
My biggest concern with the light weight wheels is damaging one when
I'm say, a thousand miles from home. Being stuck in the middle of nowhere
with a bad wheel does not sound like fun. What is the experience of people
out there? How many guys have damaged a wheel to the point that it wouldn't
hold air?

A few people, including me, have these. EXTREMELY light and they look great
too.

Hey Guys,
I was very happy with the Wilkinson wheels I had on 4268. They were
17x8 and 18x9.5 Campy style. The only thing I didn't like about them was
the weight, they were heavy, as I'm sure all the other Campy copies are.
I
haven't seen another wheel out there that I liked as much as Steve's
wheels,
but if I found something lighter that I liked, I would consider them. If
you guys know of any alternatives, please let me know, otherwise I'll
order another set just like I had.

Thanks,

Art
