[DeTomaso] Cleveland Crate Engines?

Does anyone have any recent experience with the various 351C crate engine providers?

Any thoughts or concerns?

Most of them seem to be dragstrip oriented.

A friend in the Nor-Cal Shelby Club is clearing out his garage, and has the 
following bare blocks for sale:

351C Bare Virgin/4.000” D0AE-J 1970
351C Bare Virgin/4.000” D0AE-J 1970
351C Bare Virgin/4.000” D2AE-CA 1972 4BBL/4-Bolt Main

He only has open-chamber 2V heads however, which are useless.
