[DeTomaso] Weber Manifold Weight?

Here are my weights:

Weber Manifold with carbs, linkage, gas lines - 37 lbs
One Weber, no fuel lines or gasoline - 3.5 lbs
Edelbrock Torker bare - 14 lbs
Custom Holley - proform main body, billet metering blocks - 8.5 lbs

These were all done with a bathroom scale.

Incidentally, I also put a bare 351C 4-bolt D2AE block on the scale and it
stopped at 167 lbs.

All of this was with the wife away from home. ;-)

Will.

I agree, they do have a presence...

The view back through the rear view mirror from the interior compartment
must be nice as well.

Any pics?

And yes, once sorted they are terrific. I've had two cars with them and they
ran great.

What is the induction noise like from the Webers with the rear quarter
windows removed?

Thank you,
LS

For a street car, webbers are worth 5 times their weight in wow factor.
I've found they run pretty well too, once you've sorted them out. IMHO.

I've not weighed mine, but it is a little heavier than an alluminum Weiand
single plane + Holley 650. Not enough to make even consider it as an issue
compared to all the steel and iron in the car.

Has anyone weighed a typical Weber 4x2 setup?

I'd like to know the weight implications of going from an aluminum intake
with a typical 4 barrel to a Weber setup with 44s or 48s.

Thanks,
LS
