Dan,
I bought Robert's car 5 years ago. While living in California, it was my 
daily driver. Now that I'm in Seattle, I use my convertible corvette as 
my rain day car (or daily driver). Perhaps I got such a good deal/price 
on this car is because of the problems it caused Robert... but I only 
had a couple of things to sort out to make it reliable.
1) new carburator, because the old one was leaking out the side
2) new distributor (MSD), because the old one's vacuum advance didn't work
3) re-wire the radiator fans, because they were in series with one 
pushing and the other pulling

Everything else I've been doing is to suit my tastes and to get it ready 
for some racing!

I'm pretty sure that the fastest Push Button belongs to the 'Pantera 
Kid' Al Bloomberg, with a Bonneville record of 209 mph in the D/GT
