[DeTomaso] Gas gauge post new fuel sender

Anyone have any thoughts on how to calibrate the gas gauge/sender after installing a new sending unit in the tank?

I needed a new sending unit and once installed the empty mark on the gas gauge is really a quarter tank and when the tank is entirely full the gauge reads 3/4 tank.

My car is an early 71 with an aluminum tank and the new sender is from Wilkinsons with the gas line now coming directly off the sender.
