No, it is the Tq that is of importance for calculating the softest possible
pressure plate. And peak Tq is about the same for all 351:s. However,
we COULD say that hig Hp is of secondary influence by inviting for
6 grand starts, but then again it is the Tq of rotational inertia added to
engine Tq that slipps the clutch.
A 351 need a clutch that can handle at least 375 fp.It is impossible to
tell wether or not your clutch will live up to this if taking out 3 springs,
it depend on the present clamping capacity. I guess you have an organic
disc? Taking out 3 springs from 9 will reduce pedal pressure by 33%.
