scruffy and needing TLC, but definitely a worthwhile project!

>>>No, you wouldn't. They are grossly inefficient, unequal-length, poorly
constructed, and even when expertly repaired, they fall apart with regularity.

>>>I have a pair that I'd happily send you for free, if you really wanted
them. But I'd urge you not to take me up on that offer.

Instead, I'd buy a set of Hall Pantera Big Bore headers. These are not the
best headers in the world, but they have three advantages.

1) They are dirt cheap.

2) They are the only headers that will bolt straight up (more or less) to
your existing, stock tailpipes.

3) They are dirt cheap.

(Being as cheap as they are counts twice!)

>From the Hall Pantera website (www.hallpantera.com):

1  HEADERS- Big Bore. Work w/stock or Big Bore
mufflers.....................239.00
2  HEADERS- Big Bore. Ceramic coated
silver.......................................389.00

>>>They come up from time to time. Keep trolling on E-bay, check the ads on
the PI website, POCA newsletter etc.   Tire availability goes up and down;
for a great while there were no quality tires available, and those wheels became
somewhat frequently seen on the market. Lately there has been a resurgance
in 15-inch tire production, and the Campys for sale have sort of dried up.

I paid $900 each for my 10-inch wheels, brand new, in 1989. Generally
speaking, lately I've seen full sets of 8- and 10-inch wheels, with tires, selling
for $1200-1500.
