[DeTomaso] Vedr. Cat Whisker Installation

Thanks all!

I received a reply recommending double-backed trim tape.  If that works on
the outside of a car in the weather and temp changes, on a clean surface,
sounds like it should work for the cat whiskers.  Only difference I can see
would be the pulling forces from the window going up and down.

If the adhesive works, there is the big advantage that there are no screws
to back out and scratch the glass.

I installed the VW Karmann Ghia cat whiskers from JC Whitney for $8.50 on my
Mangusta. The parts were exactly as my originals, I just had to shorten them
and drill holes for the little screws. 

I would definitely use screws, the originals. If you lose one or two be sure
that you replace them with others of the same length, or you could damage
the exterior sheet metal.
