The inside rear view mirror was designed for U.S DOT requirements in the '70s
for break-away mirrors, and because of the breakaway-and-put-it-back feature,
it vibrates. There are various fixes but the easiest and cheapest is to
simply touch the mirror when you think you need a clear view behind. Some
incureable speeders carry a limber passenger with binoculars who turns around to spot
lurking cops a couple of miles behind. Next most effective is adding the
post-1980s assembly that, not intended for use in the U.S, is glued onto the
windshield. Finally, most Panteras have a low rpm rumble peaking around 2200 rpms
that may be asssociated with mirror-shake, and there are multiple 'fixes' for the
rumble, not all successful on any given car. Good luck- J Deryke
