The nuts on the stock ZF studs cannot be accessed with a std socket due to 
the ZF mount plate overlapping the access area on at least one on each side. A 
short u-jointed socket or laborious trimming of the steel plate (which I did 
decades ago) are the only ways. And after the nuts are off, you have to crow-bar 
the powertrain sideways enough to slip each casting off the three studs- 
while holding pressure on the transaxle. As I said, for someone working alone, 
simply removing allen bolts and lifting the mounts away beats the foregoing by a 
bunch, with no pinched fingers. YMMV- J DeRyke
