Subject: Door Mirrors Idea

Hello Group,

I attended the 2008 Hilton Head Island Concours event again this year (
couldn't be in it because I was last year ) to take a look at all the Top
cars I wish I could own, saw several, I may post pix sometimes,..

anyway,

GM brought down a 2010 Camaro for a static display.Nice, BIG, BIG car, think
caprice in size, not a pony car unless it's one of those fat little ponies
in the kiddie ride section at the fair. I digress..

The mirrors on that car look pretty good and if you hold your head just the
right way, they sorta look like a Pantera body side profile, except a bit
exaggerated.

Anyway, when these car come out and you can buy spare parts, I think they
would make an excellent door mirror with some minor trimming of the mounting
stalk, they have it at about a 15 degree tilt, some gentle trimming or
Dremel cutting to make it match the door sill would be easy. Plus it puts
the mirror body out in the airflow like a Testa Rossa ( but not that far )
so all you boundary layer people ought to like it too.

anyway I posted some pix, tell me what you think.

Plus they are most likely heated, remote adjustable, etc.
