I think this would also be a good opportunity for the local vendors to
attend.  They could show their wares... When I see something in person 
I am much more ready to buy...

Also one could move all those "2nds" and returns that are taking up space,
without the shipping and hassle of eBay.

It has worked well in the past.

I went to the swap meet at Bud's place a couple of years ago.  It was a
blast.  I got to see a lot of people and got a hands-on look at a lot of
parts.  I came away with a Holley carb, two halon fire extinguishers,
and a front trunk badge.  I also bought a couple of automobilia display
cases from Bud.  

It's worth a drive down from the Bay Area and certainly worth a drive if
you are in SoCal.

The deTomaso Swap Meet is only a couple of weeks away, I hope
you all have made plans to attend. (Local hotels have room...)

This event has been sponsored in the past by the San Diego chapter
(who started it) by PCNC in Nor Cal, and most recently by TPOC, in
Orange
County (LA).

TPOC is once again hosting this event, and they have Bud William's "Toy
Box"
a prime location.

In years past people have come as far away as New Zealand!

People have also brought cars to sell, so if you are in the market, this
is
a great opportunity, as you will have a number of knowledgeable experts
on
hand to provide inspections.

This year will no doubt be a standing ovation success (again).

Information/directions etc can be found in several places, but I also
create a webpage (or a few) for this event.
