Great story Mike. My experience with Kiwi's in Vietnam and Middle East from late 60's through 1991 was the Kiwi's were great warriors and equally great drinkers. Given a few pints of beer many would argue that they were also part of a higher gene pool then either the Aussies or the Yanks orgins....your story proves that if nothing else at least the Kiwi's also have a great sense of humor!  ;-]>

it beforehand, the staff noticed that he appeared a bit nervous about this
and spoke with him about it. They said this is normal, but also wanted to

explaining the details, and basically had one staff member paired-up with him
throughout the process. As they were on the bridge and getting ready for him
to jump, they had an extra person there to assist, too. They helped him climb
over the rail, and then said any time he was ready, he could push off and jump.
As soon as he let go and pushed off, they screamed "W---W---WAIT!!!!!!!"
That was the "Special Treatment", New Zealand-style. 8=) Maybe they keep that
option available to only the natives.
