[DeTomaso] Paint Colors

My red over green repaint was a true repaint of the standard red over the standard Army green color available on the later cars. The car
was obviously not assembled as the red is everywhere you would expect it to be on an original spray job. Under the dash, inside the console area, under the carpet glue etc. They probably just sanded the outer surfaces and shot it because the hard to reach areas like those behind
the chrome door guides, under the seat belt mounts and behind the tail lights are still smooth green when the red paint fall off. When I did
the high-tech low drag matte black paint job recently, I just blew the dust out of the tail light buckets with compressed air and most of the red paint came out with it. As far as primer coats go, the primer I've seen while stripping Panteras has been light grey, almost white in some cases. I'd still like to find out about my repaint. I've heard it was actually requested. Haven't had enough time to do much detective work
lately.
