[DeTomaso] wierd leak

Maybe I'm not following completely, but wouldn't brake fluid leaked into the
front trunk leak out thru one of several spots in the trunk floor and end up
as described?  Numerous potential sources of brake fluid in the front trunk
area.

Chris, the only thing up there that actually has lube in it is the steering
rack and it is (or should be rear end lube which has a distinctive odor).
Jack
up the front end and if you can, try to trace the source of the leak. If its
the rack, it can be leaking from a torn rubber boot on either end, or from
the
rack housing thru the upper shaft seal or a bad gasket. These last may drip
lube onto the subframe and run along it for a distance before dropping to
the
