    You have to be really careful about believing simulations, but there are good ones.  I think the best approach would be to ask Dr Wortman to contact them.  He's the expert, and even more important, he has real world data.  If he gives them his test parameters, and they get the same result, we'd know that they have good stuff.  He might have an in because he could help validate their results, maybe write a paper.  That could be worth something to them if he is a recognized expert.
