[DeTomaso] Other Aero Issues

Some of the cars you list as examples are quite old and not what I
would call state of the art. "Keeping up" w/ LSR often means being an
eye-witness to every run made on a given day, looking at old pictures
won't always do it.

There are many, many cars runing against records that you haven't seen
(recognized). and there is a lot more to LSR than flat/shiny paint.
(Witness the $%#&* door slammer Firebirds/Camaros running in the high
2s - that means 250mph and up)

I'll bet you a nickel if you try to get sponsorship for a car the
sponsor will want a shiny car.

A wonderful thing about Amerika is that one can express opinions at
will, my wish is that folks would label post as opinion or fact based
(and not "I heard once that . . . ")

Sometimes small changes make for big improvements (Opinion) in the
complicated game of aerodynamics. There are times a proven (on the
great white dyno) change cannot be satisfactorily explained.

Keep the rubber side down.

regards,
David
