Thomas,
Those are good numbers for the crank or flywheel....No we never put this engine on a engine dyno.

Dan-others, what is the formula for Hp loss through drive-train?

  Congrats Dawg!

Did you ever dyno it before installing it in the car?

It would be interesting to know how much you lose through the trans.

My cousins new alloy SBC engine made 557 HP at the crank before going
into his Pantera.

Unfortunately I don't have the rpm and tq numbers.

His engine was run with standard headers on the dyno as the new 180
degree exhaust could not be installed with the engine on the dyno.
His engine is carburetted and it will be interesting to see how
streetable it is.

Cheers,
Thomas

The only significant change or improvement to Russ Fulps (Russ Fulps Race Engines/BL Machine in Anaheim) engine (which specs are on my web site) was adding Mike Trusty's IR-EFI system. Mike's system uses Kelly's new custom IR-EFI intake. Only thing we didn't do and should have done was to run dyno with filters in place to see how much HP we are losing.
