[DeTomaso] priming oil system

Use the socket and shaft from an old or cheap nut driver (a long one) with a drill motor to
prime the engine. Cut the handle off the nut driver and chuck the remaining shaft into your
drill. This is to avoid dropping a 5/16" socket and/or extension into your engine.

You can also just use a socket extension and a 5/16" socket to turn the oil pump shaft with
your drill. Just be sure to tape the socket to the extension to avoid dropping it into the engine.

Or, you can buy a special tool for the job:

IIRC, the oil pump shaft spins counter-clockwise, so your drill needs to have 'reverse.' I'm
sure the experts will chime in to confirm. Otherwise, check your engine manual.

  Cheers!
  Garth
