On my '72 pre-L, the black wire is grounded to the tank via a blade mounted
under one of the flange bolts.
the white wire with black stripe goes closest to the firewall
which leaves a yellow wire for the remaining blade.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Fuel sender wiring

I thought I had marked them when I removed the tank, but it turns out I'm a
bone head :)

I've reinstalled my aluminum tank in #1382, but I don't remember which of
the three sender wires goes where. Does anyone know which blades get which
wire? It's kind of stuck under the engine cover border, so I'm doing it by
feel. It looks like I have a black wire (probably ground) and a couple of
other wires with black stripes; maybe yellow with black stripe and white
with black stripe? One must be for the low fuel switch and the other must
be for the sender, but I really need to know which is closest to the rear of
the car, which is in the middle, and which is towards the front of the car.

A tall order, I know. Has anyone dealt with this issue before?

Thanks!
