[DeTomaso] Note To Self (Shift Linkage)

     Before installing engine and trans,  make sure complete shift linkage, from shifter to trans,  is in place,  unless you think you might enjoy a couple extra hours of unnecessary,  frustrating and generally not fun work.  All BONE-afied masochists,  including our resident DAWG,  please disregard previous.  I would also recommend having the trunnion nuts tight and adjusted before installing the left header.
