[DeTomaso] Mystery VINs Update

Listers,

The car on eBay with the "Mystery VIN" (NOT 5405) is still listed for sale.
(Example #1 on my website).

I have added another Mystery VIN car to the website.  This one has what
appears to be a valid DMV replacement VIN.  (It is likely "OK".)
(Example #2.)

This is how the State of California handles the case where the original VIN
has become invalid (obliterated etc).

This particular car was last known to be in the North East (of the USA).

What is interesting in this case, is that the car was very crudely given a
VIN (and advertised as) 8464, before it was processed by the CA DMV.

DeTomasoistas should know that only a VERY small number of cars legitimately
received a VIN in the 7501-8999 range.

So whom ever attempted to "re-assign" a DeTomaso VIN knew to pick a number
that was not used before.
