[DeTomaso] Where's the oil coming from?

I might be wrong, if so, I'm sure I'll be corrected.

Nobody knows where the gas in your car comes from really, oil and gas is a
commodity, like wheat, soy beans, etc.  It is sold as graded product and the
only difference between BP and Shell is the additive added in that makes it
a "brand"

I have an acquaintance in Savannah, he's in the Oil bidness as he says, he
buys "Gas": and sells it up and down Savannah, from Below Jax, Fl to above
Florence, SC on i_95, all brands at all stations, he keeps 10 tankers
running 24/7 refilling stations, they just add a five gallon bucket of stuff
to the 10 gallons in the tanker to make it brand X.

I don't think any brand, say Shell for example, controls the product from
hole in the ground to your tank as a totally integrated vertical line.
