[DeTomaso] Heater valve Rebuild

Dear Clay,

When I rebuilt my valves ages ago, I seem to recall that all
that was needed was an o ring, which was available locally at the Ace
Hardware store. I don't know of a rebuild kit and I doubt that one exists,
as "rebuilding" it is basically a simple disassemble-clean- replace O
ring-add waterproof grease and reassemble process. I will see if I can
find the tech article on rebuilding them and send it to you.

                     Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Subject: [DeTomaso] Heater valve Rebuild

Anyone know off hand where the rubber o ring gasket and internal
plastic/rubber stopper can be purchased or is it easier to get a new heater
valve? I thought there may be a rebuild kit available.

My heater valve has FORD stamped on it and part numbers 67 PG and 8495A-A.

Thanks

Clay
