[DeTomaso] cruise control bizzaro world

I think it best you figure it out.  Sounds to me like something is 
seeking its ground from somewhere else.  If the temp sender being 
attached, makes the cruise control work, then I'm guessing the cruise 
control is grounding through the temp sender.

Things seldom heal themselves. But a few days with a schematic (or two or three), a magic-marker to edit the schematic closest to reality for your car and a VOM should tell you what you need to know for more confidence in its wiring.
