Just make one big body and build a funny car, THAT would be fun!

Seriously, you could build a kick ass GT-1 SCCA racer if you just built it
like a Ferrari 250LM or an original GT-40.

Use pins and pop the front and back clips on and off, the doors would use
Zeus Fasteners.
You could have the best of everything on a killer tube frame and still have
a classic look to your toy.
